One such car is the Honda Civic, which is reaching its eleventh generation with a more elegant design and with important mechanical innovations, since the new model, which will hit the Spanish market in October, will be offered only in an electrified version and in its five-door version. variant.

This new generation retains the originality of its previous generations, but gains in elegance and significantly improves efficiency, emissions and consumption.

On the mechanical side, it combines a high power density lithium-ion battery and two compact and powerful electric motors with a newly developed 2.0-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine, which achieves the industry’s best thermal efficiency (41%) and an optimized direct injection system for more efficient combustion and higher torque. Automatically, and without driver intervention, the vehicle switches between electric, hybrid and combustion modes based on driving and road conditions. You can choose from four driving modes – Eco, Normal, Sport and Individual – which allow you to independently control the engine, steering wheel and instrument panel to tailor the car’s response to your needs.

From an aesthetic point of view, the new design is more sober and elegant than the previous two generations. The new Civic is looking for a larger glass area to improve visibility and interior lighting. It’s sharper and sportier at the front, with ‘Full Led’ front optics.

The interior is embellished with new high-quality materials and has a superb feel, including a striking metal ‘honeycomb’ ventilation system across the entire width of the dashboard. On the Advance version, the driver display now includes a 10.2-inch high-definition color LCD screen for improved visibility.

The new Civic offers a highly intuitive infotainment package. The size of the central touchscreen has been increased to nine inches and moved upwards to minimize eye movement for the driver. The system is compatible with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications. In addition, the Advance version includes twelve premium BOSE speakers.
