Arrest in Linz – suspect beat his girlfriend for ten years

Officials of the State Criminal Investigation Service of Upper Austria arrested a 40-year-old Romanian in Linz shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday, against whom an open arrest warrant had been issued by the Linz public prosecutor’s office for, among other things, heavy coercion. The suspect allegedly forced his partner for ten years.

For years, a Romanian in Linz is said to have mistreated, beat and forced his partner. The martyrdom of the 32-year-old has lasted since 2012. Only after ten years did she dare to press charges. The public prosecutor of Linz issued an arrest warrant for persistent violence and severe coercion.

40-year-old in custody
Shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday, the handcuffs clicked for the 40-year-old suspect in Linz. After his interrogation, the arrested man was taken to the Linz prison.
