The price of electricity rises this Tuesday to the maximum since the Iberian exception

The price will be 365.33 euros per megawatt hour and the most expensive period is between 22:00 and 23:00. In this way, it increases 35% from the previous day.

The price of electricity will rise this Tuesday at 365.33 euros per megawatt hourcausing the price to rise by 34.77% compared to the previous day.

For example, the highest level has been registered since the so-called ‘Iberian exception’ came into effect in mid-June and the level of EUR 360 per megawatt hour has been exceeded for the first time, including compensation to gas producers.

The maximum price is registered between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.at 250 euros/MWh, while the minimum for the day of 148.60 euros/MWh occurred between 04:00 and 05:00.

Without the ‘Iberian exception’ mechanism, the electricity price in Spain would average around EUR 476.76/MWh, which amounts to approximately EUR 111.43/MWh more.
