Finnish PM apologizes for ‘inappropriate’ photo in her official residence

Date:

The photo was taken after a festival and shows two ‘influencers’ kissing while covering their chests with a sign that reads ‘Finland’

Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin apologized on Tuesday for the distribution of a photo of a party at her official residence showing two women – two “influencers” from the Scandinavian country – kissing while covering their bare breasts with a sign saying that says ‘Finland’.

“The image is inappropriate,” Marin admitted at a press conference just days after he faced criticism from some of the opposition over some private videos of him appearing at a party. To stop the controversy, the president underwent a drug test that returned a negative result.

The prime minister explained that the image, broadcast on the social network TikTok, was captured in the official residence during the celebrations after a music festival. According to Marin, it is a private party that is organized during his vacation and the photo corresponds to the guest house, reports the YLE chain.

The security services also ruled out that there was a problem that day and recall that in cases like this all guests have been identified.
