Accident in Innsbruck – dog ran on the road: woman fell with moped


Shocking moment for two young women (both 21 years old) on Monday evening in Innsbruck: The duo were on a moped when suddenly a dog ran onto the street in the Waltherpark area. The driver and her companion collided with the animal and fell. The latter sustained serious injuries. The dog has disappeared. The police are looking for witnesses.

The accident happened just before 9 p.m. The 21-year-old moped driver and her passenger colleague were driving east on Innstrasse when a dog, likely a dark pit bull terrier, suddenly jumped onto the road near the north side exit of Walther Park.

Companion injured, dog gone
The 21-year-old braked hard, but was unable to avoid a collision with the dog. The driver and her companion fell onto the roadway, injuring the latter. The four-legged friend disappeared immediately after the accident. The detectives are now hoping for possible eyewitnesses.
