Ayesaa global provider of technology and engineering services, has reached an agreement with ProA Capital and other minority shareholdersincluding ONCE and Kutxabank, for the acquisition from 100% Ibermatic. The transaction, the economic details of which have not been disclosed, is expected to close in the coming months, subject to regulatory approval.
The aim of this operation, Ayesa said in a statement, is to form a leading group in digital services “with the capacity to guide major clients through their key digital transformation projects”.
The joint billing of both companies amounts to €600 million, which already ranks them among the top five players in the Spanish IT market. Following the majority investment by A&M Capital Europe, Ayesa has established a plan for organic growth and through acquisitions, with Ibermática being the third business to be completed this year.
In terms of employment, they will constitute one of the largest technology platforms nationally, with more than 11,000 professionals specialized in more than 70 disciplines. The group will strengthen its services in the fields of artificial intelligence, data analysis, automation and robotization of processes or development of native applications in the cloud.
At the international level, it will have a commercial and operational network in 22 countries. In short, it is expected that synergies existing ones boost the business in a “relevant” way, as it will have a highly competitive offering to tackle ‘end-to-end’ technology projects, with a focus on the combination of technologies, experience and functional knowledge.
After announcing the operation, Ayesa emphasized that the integration of Ibermática into the group will consolidate its presence in the areas where it operates, while retaining the current headquarters in Euskadi.
Ayesa, With more than 6,300 employees and a direct presence in 20 countries in Europe, America, Africa and Asia, it develops and implements digital solutions for businesses and governments and applies the latest technologies in infrastructure design and monitoring. In 2021, the group led by Jose Luis Manzanares Abasolo achieved a turnover of 322 million euros.
Abásolo, CEO of Ayesa, emphasizes that “both the geographic location and the service offerings of both companies are very complementary. Our major customers will be able to entrust their largest digital transformation projects, as we will naturally expand our technological capabilities and services. Founded in 1973, Ibermatic is an agency that focuses on the digitization of large companies and governments. At the end of 2021, it had 4,750 employees and a turnover of 276 million euros.
