Accident in Regensburg – buses collided: 13 seriously injured

About 50 people were injured, 13 of them seriously, in a serious accident between two buses on a bridge in Regensburg.

The investigators are trying to clarify what happened to the accident with the help of an expert. More than 300 emergency services – including, according to the police spokeswoman, approximately 30 police officers, approximately 110 firefighters and approximately 170 rescue workers and a rescue helicopter – were on site.

The northbound lane was reopened late in the evening; the opposite lane remained closed for the time being due to cleaning work. Both buses were totaled in the accident.
