The Floriani youth in Schwaz and Angerberg (Kufstein district) faced two unusual tasks on Wednesday. First, beaver “Bruno” caused a fallen tree on the Tyrolean state road. In the evening, emergency services rushed to recover a van that had overturned on a dirt road.
Someone was probably very busy – that’s what the Schwaz volunteer fire department thought when they had to remove a fallen tree from the Tyrolean main road on Wednesday afternoon. West of the stone bridge, the beaver “Bruno” created a difficult obstacle to pass on the bank of the Inn. He had brought down the tree, which then fell onto the roadway, almost completely blocking it. Fortunately, no one was injured by the small rodent’s work.
Parcel service has gone astray
He must have blindly relied on his sat nav – there is no other way to explain the strange place of fate to a parcel delivery driver in Angerberg. Around 6 p.m. the van overturned on a gravel road and got stuck on the embankment.
“If it had been three centimeters more, the vehicle would have rolled over,” said commander Andreas Perthaler of the Angerberg volunteer fire department in an interview with “Tiroler Krone”. Eleven Florianis and a towage service were busy with the rescue until 9.45 pm. The driver was not injured.
