A cyclist probably couldn’t believe her eyes when she discovered a car wreck in the middle of a dike of a dried up stream bed in Altendorf in the municipality of Sittersdorf on Friday afternoon. “When she saw the driver sleeping in the car, she alerted the emergency services,” police said.
Researchers have reconstructed the course of the accident
Police officers from the responsible inspectorate in Eberndorf were able to reconstruct the course of the accident. “Hours earlier, the 62-year-old had driven his car on a municipal road and then drove off-road across several meadows in the Altendorf area,” a detective said.
