After an obvious traffic violation, a motorist from Flachgau (45) should have noticed that the police were following him. Without further ado, he switched the driver’s seat with his wife (41). The steering wheel change did not go unnoticed. It turned out that the 45-year-old was on drugs.
It all happened on Saturday in the Schopperstrae in Salzburg: according to the police, the driver ignored a ‘no trespassing’ sign. An oncoming vehicle had to give way. The police clung to the Flachgauer’s car, which turned into a side street and stood there for a few minutes.
When the car drove back, officers stopped it. The officials noticed a change of steering wheel: now the woman was behind the wheel and her husband in the passenger seat. After initial denials, both admitted this to the police officers.
The 45-year-old did not have a driver’s license. According to the drug test, he also had both cocaine and opiates in his system. The couple has filed a police report.
