On Saturday evening, another serious traffic accident occurred in Upper Austria. For unknown reasons, a driver crashed his small car into the concrete base of a bridge railing. He had to be flown to a hospital by helicopter with serious injuries.
A 44-year-old from the Kirchdorf district drove a car from Roßleithen towards Vorderstoder on Saturday around 18:45. In the municipality of Vorderstoder, he left the road to the right for unknown reasons and collided with the right front of the vehicle against a concrete base of the railing of the bridge over the Spitzbach.
Helicopter in use
The vehicle came to a stop on the road. The fire department removed the injured driver from his vehicle. After initial treatment, he was flown to the hospital by the medical emergency helicopter “Christophorus 14”.
