A third of students who were home-schooled last school year will have to go back to class next school year. Some of them failed the final exam. Most didn’t even make it to the exam.
273 students were homeschooled last school year. More than a third now have to repeat the year at a school. 23 failed the final exam, 87 did not even pass the compulsory test. “We can’t say why so many students didn’t come to the test date. But since they didn’t show up, we assume that they will be back in school from September,” said Daniela Gutschi, the responsible regional councilor.
It is also conceivable that some parents would like to send their children back to school after the Corona situation has eased. The state council expects the final figures on the last holiday, so on September 11th.
