Witnesses saw on Saturday morning how four Indians suddenly got out of a truck at the Feistritz an der Drau exit, which then drove on.
The police, who were immediately alerted, gave chase and overtook the truck in Salzburg. “The patrol was able to stop the truck on the Tauernautobahn near Flachau,” the police said. “The Bosnian driver was immediately arrested.” The investigation revealed that the four Indian citizens had paid several thousand euros to various smugglers. These should take them from India via Serbia to various European countries.
The Indians applied for asylum immediately after their arrest and are now awaiting the procedures. The Bosnian smuggler’s journey ended in Klagenfurt prison – after all investigations were completed, the Klagenfurt prosecutor’s office reported him.
