Fire alarm on Tuesday early in the morning in Imst in the Tyrolean Oberland: A fire broke out in the facade of a house, which then spread to the roof. A resident (29) on the first floor had to be hospitalized with smoke inhalation.
The fire broke out just before 4:30 a.m. There is a restaurant in the house and an apartment above it on the first floor. The facade and eventually the roof were on fire. The exact cause of the fire is not yet clear.
Residents with rescue to hospital
The alarmed fire brigade, who came with numerous emergency services, fought the fire and eventually managed to extinguish it. A 29-year-old resident has inhaled smoke, police said. He was hospitalized.
Fire investigators set to work to determine the cause. The extent of the damage caused cannot yet be quantified.
