This is the lowest level of unemployment among the Nineteen in the entire historical series.
The unemployment rate of the euro zone fell a tenth in July compared to June and was on the 6.6% in the seventh month of 2022, while across the European Union (EU) also fell a tenth, to 6%as reported this Thursday by the Community’s statistical office, Eurostat.
This percentage of 6.6% represents the lower unemployment among the Nineteen of the entire historic series, which dates back to April 1998, according to Eurostat data. The EU figure is also about the lowest unemployment level under twenty-seven.
The unemployment rate in the eurozone thus remains eight tenths below the level pre-pandemicas in February 2020 the unemployment rate among the euro countries was 7.4%.
Spain, with 12.6%, has the highest unemployment rate in the whole EU. They are followed by Greece with 11.4%; and Italy, with 7.9%.
