A motorist crashed right through the door of a chapel in Kirchdorf an der Raab in Styria on Sunday evening. The man suffered serious injuries in the freak accident. The building sustained massive damage.
An accident you don’t see every day: a car got stuck in the middle of a chapel in the Hof district of the Kirchberg an der Raab municipality (Southeast Styria district). On Sunday night, the driver may have lost control of the vehicle and then crashed into the door of the property.
Driver seriously injured
The man suffered serious injuries. A total of three fire brigades with 37 emergency services rushed to free him from the predicament. Then he was taken to hospital. The chapel was also heavily damaged in the accident.
