There was a big fuss on Tuesday in the city center of Lienz in East Tyrol: several men, women and young people had gotten into each other’s hair. A total of three people were injured in the fight. The background to the escalation is currently unclear.
At first there was only a loud battle of words – but then the situation escalated. For reasons still unknown, several men, women and teenagers between the ages of 15 and 51 collided in the middle of Lienz on Tuesday. During the fight, a Dutch woman (37), an Austrian (39) and an Iraqi (48) were injured.

The alarmed police intervened and confronted those involved. The exact course of events and the rationale for the tangible argument is currently still the subject of ongoing investigation, it said. Once the investigations have been completed, reports will be sent to the responsible authorities.
