On Tuesday morning, there was a tragic incident between a mother and her 15-year-old son in an apartment in Vienna-Maraihilf. The murder weapon: a meat hammer.
Initially, it was supposed to be a dispute between the two, which escalated completely a short time later. According to the police, the mother of the 15-year-old teenager grabbed a meat hammer in anger and attacked her own son.
Cracked bruises on the head
When he resisted and snatched the gun from the mother, he lacerated her head with a meat mallet. Concerned neighbors alerted police. The seriously injured woman was then taken to hospital by paramedics.
The 15-year-old is said to be suffering from a neurological condition and is currently being questioned about the incident.
