On Monday evening, after a flat tire, a German motorist on the A9 collided with the crash barrier on the A9 just before the rest stop Gaishorn in Styria. Two passengers were injured in the accident. The A9 was temporarily closed.
The driver of the car lost control of the vehicle, presumably due to a blowout, collided with the crash barrier and came to a stop in the reverse lane in the overtaking lane. Immediately after the accident, the heavily damaged vehicle automatically made an emergency call via the emergency call system.
Two injured
The FF Gaishorn am See left for the accident site just after 7 p.m. Once on the scene, the emergency services immediately received the injured woman and her child and provided first aid until the Red Cross arrived.
The A9 had to be temporarily closed to remove dangerous wreckage in the free lane.
