A 65-year-old Taurus and his little Yorkshire terrier were attacked and injured by a free-running Rottweiler in Windorf (Graz-Umwelt district) on Wednesday morning. The eight-month-old four-legged friend may have escaped his owners.
At around 7:20 am, the 65-year-old and his dog were walking on Ziegelteichweg in Windorf in the Seiersdorf Pirka community when they were suddenly attacked and bitten by an eight-month-old Rottweiler dog. According to the police, the young dog may have escaped from a building beforehand, probably by jumping over the fence.
Bite wounds on left hand
A resident immediately called 911. After the emergency, the 65-year-old, who sustained bite marks on his left hand, was admitted to the UKH Graz. His dog was taken to a vet for further treatment.
