Hundreds of police officers stormed at least 50 buildings such as clubhouses and apartments, assigned to the rockers of the United Tribuns, in several federal states in Germany at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning at about the same time. Shortly before that, Secretary of the Interior Nancy Faeser had announced the ban on the group. But the scene is not only active in Germany, but also here in Austria…
Founded in 2004 by martial artists from the Balkans, the “brotherhood” is engaged in a bitter battle on the ground with rival biker clans such as the Hells Angels. For example, anyone who kills a rival rises to the top of the hierarchy. Various so-called patches mark the members of the association who have committed which crimes.
Forced prostitution and trafficking
In our neighboring country, the United Tribunes are known for the most serious crimes, including murders. The rockers are very active in the red light district, for example when it comes to forced prostitution and women and drug trafficking.
But what is the situation in Austria? We are not currently considering an on-site ban. However, the motorcycle clans are, as mentioned, “intensively observed”. Peat fights with firearms like in Germany have never happened on home soil. The rockers also made headlines in Austria.
Ho firmly denies all allegations
A police armored car was used in a raid against a wanted murder suspect at the Vienna headquarters of the Hells Angels. And the battling United Tribunes are known in this country as bouncers in the bars of Viennese scene restaurateur Martin Ho. He is repeatedly faced with allegations of drug trafficking in his clubs. The Vienna Public Prosecution Service is also investigating fraud due to possible false accounting of Corona subsidies. The entrepreneur vigorously rejects all suspicions.
Only recently, however, has the 36-year-old announced that he is resigning from the management of several subsidiaries “for serious reasons”.
