After nearly three months in the wild, a stray Golden Retriever was finally able to return to its owner. The dog escaped in June after a car accident in Fremont County, Colorado. After several failed searches, the police used an infrared drone – this time with success.
Three-year-old dog “Farah” escaped in June after an accident on a Colorado highway. Her owner Taylor Salazar did not give up hope and kept looking for the bitch.
“Farah” has been part of the family for a long time. The Salazars had taken in the puppy when Taylor’s late husband was diagnosed with cancer. “We had to find her. She’s part of the family,” the woman said.
Dog found within minutes with drone
Police held a drone training course in the area last week. A drone was also used over the dog’s last known position. Within minutes “Farah” was finally found last Sunday and was finally able to go home after 82 days.
The emaciated dog suffered a leg injury, but she couldn’t hide the joy of seeing her again.
