“As we approach the US Summit, our goal is to develop a new regional approach to improve how we manage migration together in the region over the next decade,” Biden said.

The president said the migration crisis requires a “coordinated regional effort” to tackle migration, eliminate its causes, and combat human trafficking networks.

Under the slogan “Building a Sustainable, Sustainable and Fair Future”, the summit also addresses post-pandemic health security, the climate crisis, the transition to clean energy, access to digital technologies, equitable economic growth and the role of civil society.
