In Ternitz (Lower Austria) a 70-year-old woman was arrested who, according to the police, was accused on Monday of a knife attack on her husband (71). The victim was injured, as was the suspect in a subsequent suicide attempt. Both have been admitted to the Wiener Neustadt State Hospital.
The incident happened in an apartment in Ternitz, the state police of Lower Austria reported. As has only now become known, the act happened on Friday morning and was discovered by relatives who raised the alarm.
Because the public prosecutor ordered the arrest of the 70-year-old, the suspect is guarded in hospital by staff from the Wiener Neustadt prison.
