A settlement in the Mühlviertel raises the alarm: “We haven’t received any letters or brochures for almost two weeks.” Officially, however, there are no staffing problems at the post office – and the toughest time for the delivery staff is yet to come. But who is actually liable if an important letter or bill does not arrive?
“We last received mail on September 8,” an Alberndorfer told “Krone” on Monday — and the mailbox wasn’t just empty for the 60-year-old. No letters or prospectuses have arrived in the entire settlement. “I have already called twice. I was always told that they could not explain and that the complaint would be passed on to the distribution center,” says the Mühlviertler. There were also reports of outages in a neighboring town.
