A 16-year-old from Vorarlberg was sentenced on Tuesday at the regional court in Feldkirch to 12 months in prison with a suspended sentence and a fine of 1,200 euros for rape and serious sexual abuse. According to the court, the boy had raped a five-year-old at the age of 14. The verdict is not final.
The teenager has to pay the victim 3,000 euros for partial pain compensation. Due to youth protection interests, the public was barred from the jury trial. The victim, a little girl, was only five years old at the time.
