In Austria, 14,085 new corona infections have been reported in the past 24 hours (from 9.30 am on Friday). 27 other people infected with the virus died. In the normal wards of the hospitals, the occupancy decreased by 156 places (total 2395 patients), the number of patients in the intensive care units increased by two (total 203 patients).
For comparison: last Friday, 23,357 new infections were registered in Austria. So far there are 3,964,246 positive test results in Austria. By 9:30 am on April 8, 16,168 people with SARS-CoV-2 infection had died and 3,729,061 had recovered across Austria. There are currently 2,598 people in hospital who are infected with the corona virus.
