Serious hunting accident in Upper Austria: A projectile was deflected while hunting ducks and hit a hunter in the face. The man was taken to hospital in Linz.
A 67-year-old from Stroheim was on a duck hunt in his residential community with five hunting colleagues around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. He aimed his rifle at a duck that was approaching just behind a tree.

The scattering of the shotgun can cause one of the bullets to bounce off a branch. A 62-year-old fighter from Feldkirchen an der Donau was hit in the eye. The 67-year-old took the injured to the Red Cross in Eferding. He was then taken by ambulance to the hospital of the Brothers of Charity in Linz.
