Murder trial – suspect (53) admits to bloody drunkenness

Date:

After she allegedly stabbed an acquaintance in Gröbming in Styria in January and he died, a 53-year-old Slovak woman is on trial on Friday in Leoben. Although she cannot remember the crime – the woman was heavily intoxicated at the time – she takes responsibility for the death of her ‘best friend’. Another ruling could be made on Thursday.

At the beginning of the year, a brutal murder with a knife in Gröbming in Upper Styria caused horror. A 53-year-old allegedly stabbed her boyfriend (63) with a knife and injured him so badly that he bled to death internally.

On Thursday, the woman was in the dock in Leoben. She doesn’t want to remember the crime, she was dead drunk at the time. Still, she took responsibility for the death of her “best friend,” as she put it.

Offender and victim had known each other for a long time and drank bottles of red wine and schnapps every day, which he financed. They were known locally for their heavy drinking. She also visited him early in the morning on Jan. 11 to top up the alcohol level after the night, said the lawyer, who incidentally was the woman’s adult representative before the crime.

A “Dear Alcoholic”
She described the suspect as a heavy alcoholic who drank more than three per thousand a day, but she was a “love alcoholic”. She had a good relationship with the later victim, he was her best friend. According to the lawyer, she sexually satisfied him for the alcohol.

Sexual services for wine and spirits
The Slovakian woman, who was released from custody, calmly replied Judge Peter Wilhelm: “I take responsibility, but I have no precise memory of what happened.” financed the alcohol. She didn’t really want to: “I told him to find a girlfriend. But he said he had me.” Sometimes she refused, but then he wasn’t angry.

Repeatedly contesting
However, according to witnesses, there were frequent quarrels between the two – including on January 11. Initially, the later victim would have evicted the woman from his apartment, but she cooked for him at home and then brought him lunch. We ate together. That was the last thing she could remember, she told the jury on Thursday. She only remembered when her boyfriend lay bleeding on the floor: “I asked him what had happened, but he didn’t answer.” So she called 911.
