From October 1 in Thailand without vaccination or test

Date:

Access to Thailand will be further simplified from October 1. Visitors do not have to show proof of corona vaccination or a negative test at the airport. Anyone who becomes infected with the virus and has only mild symptoms no longer has to isolate themselves. In such cases, it is sufficient to wear mouth and nose protection and to observe the distance rules.

Access to Thailand will be further simplified from October 1. Visitors then do not have to submit proof of corona vaccination or a negative test at the airport, the Bangkok Post newspaper quoted Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on Friday.

This was decided at a meeting of the National Committee on Communicable Diseases.

Attempt to boost tourism again
However, the new rules have yet to be approved by the country’s Covid-19 crisis center. The number of infections in the popular holiday destination has been declining further recently. Thailand is trying to revive the hugely important tourism industry and attract more visitors to the country.

Hong Kong ends mandatory quarantine, mandatory testing remains
After two and a half years, Hong Kong ends its entry quarantine requirement. In the future, arrivals will only need to monitor their health for three more days and will not be allowed to go to restaurants or bars during this time. After a negative test on the fourth day, they receive a blue code in the Corona app and can roam freely with it. Another test is scheduled for the sixth day. The new rules will apply from September 26.
