A serious accident happened on the S36 near Knittelfeld in Styria on Sunday night. A heavily intoxicated man (58) overturned his car.
At around 2:45 am there was a sudden crash at the Knittelfeld-Ost exit of the S36: a 58-year-old had collided with the shock absorber of the crash barrier between the first lane and the deceleration lane. The man’s red Citroen rolled over under the force of the impact and came to rest on the roof. The driver was injured, but was able to free himself from the completely destroyed car.
The driver of the accident was very drunk
An alcohol test revealed that the 58-year-old was heavily intoxicated. He was taken to the LKH Judenburg by the rescue service. The S36 had to be closed for about an hour in the direction of Vienna. Other road users were not injured in the accident.
