An earthquake struck north of Landeck at around 6:50 a.m. Monday. According to the Austrian Seismological Service of the Central Institute of Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG), the tremors reached a magnitude of 2.0.
No damage is to be expected with this strength, and no such damage was reported this time either. However, the earthquake was very noticeable: the population perceived the shaking weak to clear and, according to ZAMG, a rumble from the subsoil could also be heard.
