Kiev convinces: – Dozens of freshly prepared Russians already dead

Date:

The government in Kiev assumes that dozens of newly recruited Russians called up as part of the mobilization are already dead. “It’s like a professional boxer fighting a schoolboy,” Ukrainian presidential adviser Oleksiy Arestovich said. “They are poorly equipped, have no medicine and are armed with rusty guns,” the Ukrainian explained.

The partial mobilization of hundreds of thousands of reservists at the behest of Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin has sparked protests and the flight of numerous Russian men – given what they are expected to expect when deployed in the conflict zone in Ukraine, this is completely understandable. The new Russian soldiers would not be properly prepared for their duties in the war zone, Arestovich explained to the “Bild” newspaper.

Arestowitsch: Not bad, but “just no training”
It’s hard to say how many newly recruited Russians have already lost their lives, Arestovich says: “I think there are dozens of them.” It’s not just a lack of equipment. “They have no training at all. They don’t even have a bad education, they just don’t have any education – it’s terrible. It’s like a professional boxer fighting a schoolboy.”

NPP Zaporizhzhya as leverage?
The presidential adviser does not estimate Putin’s prospects well. “The Russians have lost 70 percent of their army, I don’t see a winning strategy for Putin.” It is conceivable that the Russians are now trying to advance further into the Donetsk region. “He will try to defend the annexed area and threaten us with tactical nuclear weapons. He could provoke negotiations by using the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant. He could do things like blow up Ukrainian gas pipelines,” Arestovich said.

The Ukrainian adviser assumes that the war will be over next year. “I don’t think it will last longer than the summer of 2023,” Arestovich said. He was undaunted by Moscow’s possible use of nuclear weapons: “We will fight. We will not stop. Mentally we have already won, even nuclear weapons cannot stop us.”
