London has also announced a new financing item of 500 million dollars (460 million euros) for Ukraine via the World Bank.

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced this Saturday after meeting in Kiev with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom will supply 120 armored vehicles and anti-ship missile systems to the Ukrainian armed forces.

During the meeting, which Downing Street decided not to announce in advance, the head of government had an “in-depth dialogue” with Zelensky “on economic and military aid,” one of his official spokespersons said in a statement.

London has also announced, through the World Bank, a new $500 million (EUR 460 million) financing item for Ukraine, bringing the total amount of funds thus committed to $1,000 million (EUR 920 million).

The financial aid, which has yet to be approved by the British Parliament, will help “keep essential humanitarian services running”, the government said.

“Today I made it clear that the UK is unconditionally by your side in this battle and that we are here for the long haul,” Johnson emphasized.
