Ukraine and the Russian authorities have mutually accused the authorship of the facts.
The head of Zaporizhia Regional Military Authority, Oleksandr Staruj, stressed that “people queuing to go to the territory temporarily busy collecting relatives, bringing help,” and has blamed Russia for the deaths.
For his part, the Russian administrator of the occupied Zaporizhzhya region, Vladimir Rogov, has defended that Ukrainian troops fired on a group of cars waiting to go to “liberated territory at the exit of Zaporizhzhya”.
