“Baby will you marry me?” it says on a candy pink background, decorated with hearts and a ring. With this XL marriage proposal on an Upper Austrian country road, Roland has finally conquered the heart of his Sabine. “She drives past the poster every day, she was really happy,” says the groom-to-be. The answer, of course, was “yes”.
“We’re getting married because we just belong together,” says Roland van Allerheiligen and came up with something very special for the question of all questions: “We once talked about an airplane with a banner. But then the idea of the poster came to me. and I went online to see if something like this was even possible.”
“Something like this very rarely happens. I’ve been doing this job for 30 years and we’ve only proposed about ten times,” says Karin Grünwald of USP Outdoor Advertising in Linz.
Girlfriend drove by
Roland was responsible for the design himself, the advertising agency did the rest. “Sabine drove by, I was home and I knew the poster was already gone. She was very happy and immediately knew it could only be mine,” says the groom-to-be. After the ring was made at home, they drove together to the poster next to Königswiesener Straße (B 124) and ticked the “JAAAAAAAAAA”.
