Terrible accident in the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria. A young driver (18) came to a stop in a bend of the road and came to a head-on stop against a tree. The driver – he does not have a driver’s license – and his passenger were seriously injured.
An 18-year-old from the Rohrbach district was driving his car with a 17-year-old friend from Linz on Sarleinsbach’s Hanriederstraße towards the village of Sprinzenstein around 11.40pm on Friday. For unknown reasons, the car made a slight left turn from the road to the right, skidded over a slope and came to rest against a tree.
Driver does not have a driver’s license
As a result of the impact, both occupants became trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated with rescue equipment by the fire brigades of Sprinzenstein and Sarleinsbach. Both were seriously injured and were taken to the Rohrbach clinic after first aid.
The driver does not have a B driving license. The force of the impact ripped the engine and transmission from the vehicle.
