A graduation ball this weekend in Liezen did not go well: a 22-year-old from Liezen was seriously injured on Sunday morning in a big scuffle by a 21-year-old in front of the event hall with kicks and punches. Other people were also injured in the incident.
The graduation ball was already coming to an end when a scuffle broke out in front of the Liezener Ennstal-Halle in Upper Styria on Sunday shortly before 3 a.m. The 22-year-old from Liezen is said to have been beaten and kicked by a 21-year-old Rottenmann. The young man was taken to the Rottenmann regional hospital with serious injuries.
According to the police, it is unclear whether the men were guests at the graduation ball and the motive is also unknown.
Other people injured
The 21-year-old suspect also allegedly assaulted other people. They were also injured in the incident but did not seek medical treatment.
And another man (22) from the Liezen district is said to have been injured to an unknown extent, but by another unknown perpetrator. He was also taken to the LKH Rottenmann, the police are investigating the incident further.
