The mayor of the small French town of Périers wants to buy a fleece jacket for all students because the heating in the schools is turned off due to the energy crisis. “The students have to feel good to learn,” said the mayor.

“I think the manageable costs of the fleece jackets contribute to the well-being of the students and therefore to their general well-being,” said the mayor of the Normandy city, Gabriel Daube, on the French blue broadcaster.

6000 euros cost
It costs the community 6,000 euros to buy a fleece jacket for each of the 350 students. He finds a temperature of 19 degrees acceptable in the classrooms, but if it gets very cold, the coat is a help.
