But experienced tax officials threw a spanner in the works for the criminals. The delivery – 30 boxes with a total weight of 345 kilograms – was intercepted. The hot goods were reported as matcha tea, which would make its way to the federal capital by plane from Tel Aviv.
“Dschango” had the right nose
The drug, which comes mainly from East Africa and the Arab world, has now also appeared at the postal distribution center in Inzersdorf. Here the sniffer dog “Dschango” proved that he had the right nose – during the routine check twelve kilograms of khat were discovered and confiscated.
