Helicopter to hospital – Tyrolean (28) cuts off two fingers with a saw

Terrible accident at work Tuesday morning in the Tyrolean Oberland: A 28-year-old resident hit his hand in a running chop saw in Ladis (Landeck district) and partially chopped off two fingers.

The serious accident at work happened around 8 a.m. Police say the 28-year-old was cutting wood with a chop saw at a construction site in Ladis. “A wooden strip jammed and the man got two fingers of his left hand in the saw,” the researchers say.

The two fingers were partially severed. After first aid at the accident site, the injured person was flown with a rescue helicopter to the district hospital in Zams.
