Project in Trieste – Sacher opens first coffee house abroad

Date:

The traditional Viennese coffee house Sacher wants to grow. The first Café Sacher abroad will open in Trieste (Italy) before the end of 2022.

The coffee house opens in the central Via Dante in a former shoe store. All contracts have already been signed and the restaurant could open before Christmas, Italian media reported. Architects Dizzi Alfons and Erich Bernard are working on the project.

There is currently a Hotel Sacher with a café in Vienna and Salzburg, as well as its own coffee houses in Graz and Innsbruck. The Italian Benetton Group also operates a Sacher Café in the Parndorf outlet center.

The world-famous Sachertorte has been prepared by hand in Vienna since 1832 according to the original recipe. According to the company, the pastry should be delivered to almost every country in the world. The traditional company is led by the Vice President of the Chamber of Economics, Elisabeth Gürtler.
