Shock for the car driver (57) and her passenger on the Brenner Autobahn near Innsbruck on Sunday morning: probably due to a medical emergency, the woman ran off the road and collided with a concrete crash barrier and an emergency center with full force.
The 57-year-old German and her attendant (71) were driving on the A13 towards Italy when the driver turned right in the lane due to a medical emergency and collided with the concrete guardrail and the emergency call cell just before a tunnel.
With rescue to the clinic
Apart from the health problems that apparently caused the accident, the woman suffered “only” minor injuries. She was taken by ambulance to the Innsbruck clinic.
The 71-year-old passenger was shocked. The car was probably a total loss.
