Several people were injured in a traffic accident on Thursday evening in the Favoriten district of Vienna. Two cars had collided at an intersection and one of the vehicles then slid into an outdoor dining area. Three visitors to the restaurant were injured, as were the two drivers.
A 25-year-old motorist drove in the evening from Van-der-Nüll-Gasse in the direction of Quellenstrasse and wanted to go straight at the intersection. At the same time, a 31-year-old drove the car on Laubeplatz in the direction of Rotenhofgasse – he also wanted to go straight at the intersection. As a result of the collision, the 31-year-old driver lost control of the steering wheel and the car skidded.
