Zaporizhzhya Mayor Anatoly Kurtev confirmed this Sunday morning that at least 17 people had been killed after the Russian army again bombed the Ukrainian city with rockets at dawn, home to the country’s main nuclear power plant, which it operates thanks to the state of emergency system after it had been disconnected from the power grid due to attacks by Kremlin troops.
According to preliminary data, five houses have been destroyed and about 40 have suffered serious damage, Kurtev said in a message on his Telegram channel, in which he also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
