On Saturday afternoon, a 73-year-old motorcycle crashed into the station building in Wald am Schoberpass (Styrian district of Leoben) and was seriously injured. He traveled without a license plate or helmet.
Around 2 p.m., the engine of a motorcycle suddenly roared loudly in the station forecourt. The driver drove straight for the building and fell. He was thrown against the entrance portal and remained unconscious.

His motorcycle was thrown into the station concourse by the force of the impact, but no one was injured there. The 73-year-old was treated by first responders and was taken to Klagenfurt hospital with a rescue helicopter a short time later.
What exactly led to this spectacular accident is still unclear. The police investigation is still ongoing.
