Several explosions shook the Ukrainian capital Kiev early this Monday, as confirmed by authorities. At the moment there is no official information about possible victims, although the National Emergency Service speaks of several victims.

“Multiple explosions in Shevchenkiv district, in the center of the capital. All services are in use. Details will follow later,” Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko said in a short message on his Telegram account.

Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian Ministry of the Interior, has pointed out via Twitter that “the center of Kiev has been attacked with kamikaze drones”. According to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, several vehicles are on fire at the site of one of the impacts.

Attacks in Dnipro, Lviv and Zaporizhzhya

In recent hours, there have also been attacks in the cities of Zaporizhzhya, Dnipro and Lviv.

The Kerch Bridge, one of the main routes connecting Russia and Crimea, was badly damaged by a massive explosion on Saturday. Three people died.
