On Wednesday afternoon, a 23-year-old passed a police patrol in Stans in the Tyrolean district of Schwaz on a so-called monowheel – an electrically operated bicycle equipped with two footrests. The officers gave chase and there was a collision on a bicycle path. Three people were injured. Then the officials made another interesting discovery with the German.
The 23-year-old had noticed the officers in the patrol car because of his fast driving. When they tried to stop him, the young man ignored this and turned onto a bike path, endangering a cyclist. In another attempt to stop the unicycle, officers rode next to him. At that point, for unknown reasons, the 23-year-old suddenly turned left, colliding with the patrol car.
23-year-old hospitalized, officials injured
The German fell from his monowheel and injured himself, he was taken to hospital. To make matters worse, researchers also found a small amount of cannabis on him. The man is now waiting for several advertisements. The two police officers also suffered injuries – probably from the braking maneuver, according to the Strass im Zillertal police station. The investigation into the exact course of the accident is still ongoing.
In this context, the management asks for information. In particular, the cyclist who was endangered by the Monowheel driver on the bicycle path at the company Tega in Stans must report. Send information to PI Strass i. Z. under 059133/7255.
