Police officers were warned in Vienna-Leopoldstadt because a person in a hotel allegedly activated all the fire alarms. An employee had previously caught a 16-year-old hotel guest doing the action in the hotel kitchen.
According to police, the heavily intoxicated boy had deliberately broken into the house and activated the fire alarm. He wouldn’t tell the policeman why. The alarmed fire brigade has reset the fire alarms after clarification.
Tackled on own mother and police
After the suspect’s mother was notified of the incident by police and arrived at the hotel, the 16-year-old became very aggressive. The boy kicked and punched officers after they stopped him from attacking his own mother.
Alcohol test showed 1.8 per thousand
Two officers were injured. They were unable to continue the service and had to be taken to a hospital. The young man has been arrested. A breath analysis showed 1.8 per thousand.
The 16-year-old is being reported on suspicion of defiance against state authority, serious bodily injury and multiple damage to property, as well as under the Alarms Act for deliberately setting off the fire alarm.
