Stormy night for the professional fire brigade of Innsbruck: Shortly after midnight on Saturday, a fire suddenly broke out in a restaurant in the west of the city. The Florianis fought the huge flames – luckily no one was hurt. A few hours earlier there had already been a fire in an apartment. Three people had to be rescued from the smoke-filled building.
Shortly before 12:30 a.m., a fire suddenly broke out in the restaurant on Fürstenweg in Innsbruck. “The exact cause of the fire is still unclear and is subject to further investigation,” police said.
Massive damage in the restaurant
The Innsbruck professional fire brigade and the Hötting volunteer fire brigade arrived with almost 50 emergency services and 13 vehicles. The Florianis were finally able to get the situation under control and put out the fire. No one was hurt, but the damage caused is huge!
Three people rescued from home
This was not the only action by the fire brigade that night. At around 10:30 p.m., there was a fire alarm in an apartment on Fennerstrasse in Innsbruck. “During the operation, three people had to be rescued from the heavily smoke-filled apartment and taken to the Innsbruck clinic after initial treatment with suspected smoke poisoning,” the researchers said.
Also in this case, the cause of the fire is still unclear. In addition to the professional fire brigade, the volunteer fire brigade of Reichenau was also present.
